The Secondary Animal Fat Separation System processes semi-finished oil and oil-containing solids after the first pressing stage.

After animal material has been rendered, dried, and pressed, the primary oil may still contain moisture or fine solid particles. The pressed solid blocks may also retain a certain amount of oil and water.

The system directs these two materials into separate processing routes. Semi-finished oil enters an oil-water separation stage. Oil-containing solids are crushed and transferred to secondary drying.

Separating the two material routes makes it easier to control oil and meat and bone meal according to their different processing requirements. It also avoids mixing semi-finished oil and solid material during storage or transfer.

The processed materials include primary pressed oil and oil-containing solids. The oil purity is above 95%.

Pressed solid blocks are crushed and dried again. After secondary drying, the moisture content of the finished meat and bone meal is no more than 8%.

Screw conveyors are used to move material between the connected machines. The enclosed conveying arrangement reduces manual transfer and supports continuous connection between crushing, drying, and separation units.

Secondary processing helps recover more oil from the solid material and further reduce moisture in the meat and bone meal. Oil and solids can then connect with separate downstream equipment, including oil purification units, storage tanks, meat and bone meal conveyors, and packing machines.
